My stay at The Hempel Hotel was an lovely experience, mainly due to the really good service from the staff and the unique design of the hotel. The comfort of the bed was heavenly, ensuring I got a great night's sleep. However, I did face a few hiccups during my stay, including some noise disturbances from neighboring rooms which detracted from the overall tranquility I was hoping for.

Rooms

The room was stylishly minimalist with quirky design features, but I could hear noise from neighbors, which was distracting.
Service

Staff provided excellent service, always friendly and attentive, making me feel very welcomed throughout my stay.
Location

The hotel is in a calm neighborhood, but getting out to explore the city daily required some planning due to its slightly less central location.
Dining

Breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices that were well-prepared, but I had a disappointing experience with some meals that could have been better.
Facilities

The hotel was immaculate and had a gorgeous lobby area, but some aspects of the design felt more about looks than functionality.

My stay at The Hempel Hotel was a mixed bag. On one hand, the design is stunningly minimalistic, providing a chic atmosphere. But, I was quite disappointed with the attention to detail in my room, which felt more basic than luxurious. The service was friendly, yet I encountered some issues that dampened the overall experience.

Rooms
6.0
I found my room spacious, but it had several oddities like a tiny window facing a brick wall and lighting that was rather erratic. The bed was two singles pushed together, which made for a restless night.
Service
7.0
While check-in was warm and welcoming, I noticed some lapses in staff engagement during my stay. I often felt like I had to seek out assistance rather than being proactively helped.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic with Hyde Park only a short walk away. Plus, the access to the Tube and other transport options makes it very convenient for exploring the city.
Dining
7.0
I had a decent breakfast at the hotel restaurant, though it felt like a standard buffet rather than a luxurious experience. It could have been more refined given the hotel's aspirations.
Facilities
6.0
The minimalist design of the lobby and bar areas caught my eye, but the overall facilities felt like they were not maintained to the expected standard of a high-end boutique hotel.

I had high hopes for my stay at The Hempel, drawn in by its stylish design, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. The staff were friendly, and the cocktails in the bar were quite good, but the room cleanliness and service left a lot to be desired. The restaurant provided a highlight with its attentive service and delicious food. Overall, while it has striking features, the execution of service needs considerable improvement.

Rooms

The room I stayed in felt somewhat grim, with issues such as broken lights and dust. Despite the comfortable bed, the tiny, poorly designed bathroom was a letdown.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were pleasant, many issues regarding room maintenance and service errors overshadowed the positive interactions. It felt like the staff could have been more attentive.
Location
6.0
The hotel is conveniently located near Paddington, making it easy to explore London, though the surrounding view from my room was disappointing.
Dining
7.0
Dining at the restaurant was a saving grace, with delicious food and an elegant setting, though the initial service issues diminished the experience.
Facilities

The hotel's facilities felt outdated and in need of some TLC. The lobby is striking, but the overall condition of the rooms did not match that initial impression.

I had a unique experience at The Hempel Hotel in London, marked by really good service and minimalist design, although some aspects fell short of my expectations. The hotel's ambiance was tranquil, offering a nice respite from the busy streets outside. However, the peculiar room layout and issues with the dining service left me feeling mixed about the overall value for the price. I would consider it for a special one-night treat but not necessarily for an extended stay. 🏨✨

Rooms
6.0
The room was modern and clean, featuring a comfortable bed and a lovely en-suite bathroom. However, the cold minimalist decor made it feel somewhat uninviting. I also found the room dark due to strange window placements, and could hear conversations from adjacent rooms.
Service

The staff were friendly and generally helpful, contributing positively to my experience. However, there were inconsistencies, especially in the restaurant where the service was slow and somewhat disorganized.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently located near Paddington Station and Hyde Park, making it easy to get around London. However, the immediate area doesn't have many dining options for the evening.

While the breakfast offered quality options, the service was painfully slow. I found myself waiting far too long for coffee and attention from the staff during the meal.
Facilities

The hotel's facilities included a striking lobby and peaceful outdoor spaces, but my experience with the dining was disappointing.

My stay at The Hempel was good, with really good service from the accommodating staff. The tranquil atmosphere offered a nice retreat from the bustling city, but I did find the proximity to transport a bit further than expected. Overall, I enjoyed the unique design and comfort, so I'd gladly return for another visit.

Rooms

The room was spacious and stylish, featuring pristine stone floors and a wonderfully comfortable bed. I appreciated the thoughtful amenities, though I did find the wardrobe space a little limited.
Service

The service was truly great. From check-in to room service, the staff was friendly and attentive, even accommodating my request for porridge the next morning!
Location
7.0
While the location was calm and beautiful, I found it a bit of a walk to nearby public transport options, which was slightly inconvenient for exploring London.
Dining

Breakfast was cooked to order, and I enjoyed the quality of the food. However, timing issues during busy periods hinted at a need for improved organization.
Facilities

The hotel’s serene garden was a lovely retreat, perfect for unwinding. I appreciated the cleanliness throughout, but I wish there were more facilities available.
